Mark BrittChief executive officer

Mark Britt took the helm of the ninemsn group of companies in September 2011. As Group CEO, Mark runs all ninemsn group activities across Australia and New Zealand including; ninemsn, Windows Live, Bing, Cudo and investments in iSelect and RateCity. Before being appointed CEO Mark sat on the ninemsn Board of Directors.

Mark has a wealth of executive and commercial experience in online, advertising and consumer technology fields and the Australian, European and Asia-Pacific markets. He is an established leader and has an impressive track record in identifying breakthrough business opportunities, executing high profile joint ventures and pioneering transformational partnerships in digital.

Mark returned to Australia after spending four years with Microsoft, most recently as General Manager for Consumer and Online. In his time at Microsoft, Mark built the first integrated consumer team in Asia Pacific, bringing together MSFT's consumer software, advertising and marketing assets for the first time.

Mark is passionate about the vision of combining old and new media, and is a true believer in the opportunity for data and technology to create amazing new content experiences and deliver effective advertising results for clients and users.

Dean CapobiancoCommercial director

Dean Capobianco was internally promoted to the role of commercial director at ninemsn in February 2011. He is responsible for managing all areas of display commercialisation, including brand sales (brand display, mobile, video and Powered), performance media and partners.

Dean's media experience incorporates all facets of display media, search marketing, online video, performance media, mobile media and content syndication, while his business management skills include sales, ad operations, customer service, business development, technology, operations and content distribution.

Marc BarnettGeneral Manager, MMN & Microsoft Advertising Exchange

Marc Barnett is General Manager, Microsoft Media Network & Microsoft Advertising Exchange. In this role, Marc is responsible for driving the strategic direction of programmatic trading, performance media and third party networks.

Marc rejoined ninemsn in December 2011, after spending time with Microsoft Advertising in Singapore. As the Director of Specialist Sales for Asia Pacific, he was responsible for driving advertising revenue for Microsoft's full suite of online advertising products across the region.

Previously, Marc spent four years with ninemsn in a variety of commercial roles, mostly recently as the Director of Commercial Operations and Performance Media. In this role, he was responsible for launching and managing MSDR, the Performance Media business and managing the display Ad Operations team.

He first commenced his digital media career as a member of the startup team that launched Overture (now Yahoo Search Marketing) in the Australian market. As Sales Manager, he led a team responsible for developing search marketing demand and driving revenue across direct and agency clients.

Alex ParsonsMarketing and MSN products director

Alex first joined ninemsn in February 2007 and is currently the Managing Director of Audience. All content, creative and marketing businesses report into Alex who brings together a single, end to end audience division across the business.

Alex has been with ninemsn for over 5 years, initially running Bing, and subsequently in broader roles running the Windows Live and Marketing functions.

He began his career in the UK running web services at Ernst & Young (which later became Cap Gemini Ernst & Young) in the early days of the internet. After returning to Australia in 2002 Alex was appointed Director of Product for eBay Australia and New Zealand. Following this Alex joined Sensis Pty Ltd where he was Group Manager of Search.

Alex is also Chairman of Ratecity and sits on the Board of the Australian Association of National Advertisers

He lives with his wife Anne and two children in Sydney.

Alex StewartCFO and strategy director

Alex's role has evolved from Chief Financial Officer to Chief Operating Officer. As ninemsn expands its operations into new areas such as the Advertising Exchange, Alex's role as COO is instrumental in evolving pricing and data management and the resulting legal and financial aspects of these.

Alex is a well known and respected leader in the industry, having been at Microsoft since 1996, where he most recently held the position of general manager of consumer and online for Australia and New Zealand.

During his time at Microsoft, he had roles spanning product strategy, marketing, advertising, sales and business operations. He also spent some time in the ninemsn business between 2000 and 2003 as director of business operations.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Alex was a management consultant with Bain & Company in the US. He began his career with the LEK Partnership in Sydney as an associate consultant, before moving to the US to become a business planning consultant with the Center for Technology Transfer at the University of Pennsylvania.

Melinda SheppardFinancial director

Melinda Sheppard became ninemsn's finance director in September 2008. She is responsible for the overall financial management of ninemsn and its subsidiaries.

Starting in the company in 1998 as an assistant accountant, Melinda moved through the roles of financial accountant and financial manager before moving into her current executive role.

Melinda has a bachelor of economics degree from Macquarie University and a master of accounting degree from Central Queensland University. She is also a member of CPA Australia and affiliate member of Chartered Secretaries Australia.

Richard McLarenChief Technology Officer

Richard was appointed ninemsn's chief technology officer in November 2010 and his role was recently expanded to chief data and technology. In this role, Richard takes ownership of ninemsn's advertising technologies, including behavioural targeting and theadvertising exchange, as he leads a team empowered by data driven intelligence to better connect the company's advertising and audience businesses.

With a wealth of IT experience spanning across financial services, online media, telecommunications, oil and retail, Richard has worked as an independent consultant, offering IT strategy and interim CIO services to clients in Australia and abroad.

Prior to this, Richard held roles as division director at Macquarie Group, interim IT director at MoneySupermarket.com in the UK, and managing director of ThoughtWorks, London. Richard was also founder and director at Open Mobile Payments and head of business financial services strategy at Westpac.

Krista ParcellPeople and culture director

Krista Parcell is ninemsn's people and culture director. In this role, Krista provides leadership to the business in building highly effective and engaged teams. The main focus is on the development of best-practice people processes that deliver measurable business outcomes.

Krista has had more than a decade's experience in human resources. Prior to joining ninemsn, she was human resources and learning and development director within the operations team at GE Capital, where she also worked in a number of different roles over a five-year period.

Prior to GE Capital, Krista gained experience in human resources through roles with Aviva Australia, David Jones and SingTel Optus. She has a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Macquarie University and a certificate of change management from the Australian Graduate School of Management.
